One step closer.

We are still in Hot Springs. I don’t think we have ever been more relaxed! We sleep a lot, watch movies, walk around downtown, clean up/laundry and cook. We helped out a friend of Joe who is about to move out of her house and we got to meet up with Danny and Janine. (the owners of the B&B where we got married) The other day we hiked up the mountain. It was nice being in nature and with great views!

Yesterday we got paid so we got in the car and drove off to Little Rock, the state capitol of Arkansas. We first walked down to the Arkansas River, had lunch at a English Pub. Then walked on the River market. President Bill Clinton is from Arkansas and spent a lot of his lifetime in Little Rock, he was the governor as you know. (He was born in Hope and boyhood years were in Hot Springs) so there is a whole area devoted to him. Including the Presidential Library. It has a mock oval office, gifts from other leaders, Hillary’s dresses, daily schedules and so much more. For $7 it was well worth it! Afterwards we drove to the Art Center and looked at some great pieces. Then … shopping! We were desperate for some new clothes. After buying half of Old Navy we drove back to Hot Springs.
We decided to take Alan and Joe out for dinner. We had a lovely night at Don Juan Mexican Restaurant. After we met up with Chris and Tommy, 2 friends we made last time we were here at the Ohio Club. We met their cuuuuute dog Baxter and had some drinks. A great day.

Today we decided to leave next Monday. We will be staying with family of Thomas in Sugarland, close to Houston. At least a step closer! We will be able to reunite with Katje again and sort some things out. Most importantly we will be able to visit home; work on it and leave again to healthy water and AC in Sugarland.

We are sad to leave Alan and Joe’s, we have been so lucky with them and they really made us feel at home. But we have been away from home for 2 weeks now and we feel we need to do something. We cannot thank them enough for everything they have done for us. We hope some day we can return their sweet gestures!

Today we saw our house on a video online. It was a quick moment but so sad. I posted it HERE. Have a look, the first 20 mins are in downtown, right where we live! The first place he visits is Fisherman's Wharf… yes my old job. Its awful and very sad.

Now go watch the debate! Go Obama! :)
