Howdy.
Everything is going pretty well. We have both been sick but are getting better. No news on the job front yet. We are waiting for 220 people to resign before march. Otherwise they will start laying off. We are looking at Dallas and Austin, but they are laying off people everywhere plus we are not the only ones wanting to move there. We now also started looking in and around Houston which is much more feasible. There are some lovely areas to live in and we would still be close to Galveston.
The cats are doing so much better. Yesterday they slept together (well sophia hanging off of katje butt) for 3 hours on the couch. Then they were licking eachother. Later on they were fighting again though. We're still not comfortable leaving them alone.
Not many plans for the coming month. This Sunday is Superbowl Sunday, which to us means same old sunday. In March we have a wedding of Jennifer and Jacob in Austin. Thomas went to High School with Jen. So thats exciting, a weekend in Austin. But thats ways away. For Valentines we are going for dinner in Houston.
Back soon!!!
XOXO

She said she has looked in Texas City, La Marque and Galveston, but has not found anyone who would accept her federal disaster housing assistance program voucher. She has been turned away by several landlords who said her income was too low, she said. She’s not sure where she will live once the Federal Emergency Management Agency stops paying for her to live in a hotel.
“I’m scared to death,” she said.
Of the 7,000 Galveston County families who qualify for the Disaster Housing Assistance Program, only 1,800 or 26 percent, have found places to live, Krishnarao said.
